Nourish & Grow Initiative
Nourish & Grow Initiative
Every child deserves the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive with adequate nutrition. However, many children in the low-income communities around us do not have regular access to basic nutritional foods such as milk, eggs, and fresh fruit.
Through our Nourish & Grow Program, we aim to respond to this need by providing nutritious food to children who come under our care and influence, particularly students at our school and children reached through our community outreach ministries.
Our goal is simple: to help children receive the basic nutrition they need for healthy growth, better well-being, and greater readiness to learn. Where resources allow, we hope to provide children with a glass of milk, an egg, and a serving of fresh fruit once or twice a week.
Our experiences through community initiatives, including our eye camps, have also reminded us of the importance of paying attention to children’s overall health and development. While we may not be able to meet the needs of every child, we believe we have a responsibility to care for those whom God has placed within our reach.
At present, this is a developing initiative, and we are praying for the resources needed to establish it as a regular program. From time to time, we have provided nutritional support when possible, but our desire is to make this a consistent and sustainable ministry.
Please remember the Nourish & Grow Program in your prayers. Pray that God will provide the resources, partners, and opportunities needed to make this vision a reality, so that more children may be nourished, strengthened, and given a healthier foundation for their future.
